The Many Fabrics of Dickies Scrubs

Dickies has always made quality a top priority when designing and manufacturing medical scrubs.  Although quality in a garment is comprised of many different things, before anything can be cut, sewn, or embellished, it begins with the fabric.  The choice of fabric will determine the drape, fit, and ultimate beauty of the garment.  Therefore, it is of utmost importance to select quality fabrics.

In medical scrubs, cotton is usually the fabric of choice, as it is cool, comfortable, sturdy, and washable.  Dickies scrubs designers have come up with myriad ways to improve the qualities of cotton to perform various tasks.  Their popular Gen Flex line is made with a fabric that blends cotton with the stretch abilities of poly and spandex.  The result is an advanced micro-sanded stretch fabric which delivers super-soft comfort and extreme freedom of movement while maintaining a trim and flattering fit.

The Dickies Natural Elements line employs the use of a revolutionary new fabric.  Tencel fabric is composed of a blend of Tencel, which is derived from wood pulp, and poly twill.  The result is a sustainable, eco-friendly fabric that is soft to the touch and actually drapes like silk.  Tencel fabric is even good for your skin.  It naturally inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, and wicks moisture away from sensitive skin, keeping you fresh all day.

The New Blue line takes full advantage of the comfort properties of cotton.  These scrubs are manufactured from garment-washed 100% cotton denim.  The result is a light, soft fabric more comfortable than your favorite pair of jeans.  It comes in a dark or light wash and just gets better with age.

When purchasing Dickies scrubs, the customer can rest assured that they are purchasing scrubs from exclusively the finest fabrics.
