〔編譯管淑平／綜合報導〕花時間流連社交網站Facebook有助訓練腦力，這是研究「工作記憶力」的蘇格 蘭史特靈大學心理學家亞洛威提出的觀點。她說，常上Facebook會強化與智力有關的工作記憶力，不過使用另一個當紅的微網誌「推特」（Twitter），卻會造成相反的效果。
她說，玩戰爭電玩、數獨，與玩Facebook有同樣的效果，而傳簡訊、看YouTube影音則和用 Twitter一樣，都可能削弱「工作記憶力」。工作記憶力與一個人記憶、應用資訊的能力有關，對工作記憶力有深入研究的亞洛威相信，這種能力對一個人的成功影響，遠比智商還重要，曾提出以工作記憶力評估一個人心智能力，比智力測驗還精準。
